HISTORY
Our Story…
NEOGEO was founded in 2008 on a simple conviction: geographic data gains its full value when shared, understood, and used by everyone.
For over 20 years, the team has been designing and deploying geographic data infrastructures and open-source mapping platforms, to enhance, visualize, and share geographic information with a wide audience.
The venture significantly accelerated in 2022 with its integration into the GEOFIT Group (1,500 employees), further expanding its expertise and teams. Today, NEOGEO comprises nearly 40 people and over 50 major mapping platforms in production, at the heart of territories and their projects.
2008
Creation of NEOGEO
Implementation of geographic data infrastructures and open-source platforms.
2010
Implementation of the Géofoncier platform
National platform for land surveyors and property experts.
2012 – 2021
Genesis of open data platforms
2012 – First geographic data cataloging platform for DataGrandLyon.
2019 – Creation and deployment of the first open-source IDGO core for open data sharing.
2021 – Creation of GéoContrib, a collaborative web mapping solution.
2022
NEOGEO joins GEOFIT Group
Strengthened by GEOFIT’s service teams responsible for geographic information developments, NEOGEO inherits over 20 years of expertise as an integrator of customized solutions and the Group’s international reach.
Creation of the OneGeo Suite solution
Creation and deployment of a new open-source core resulting from the merger of solutions developed by GEOFIT and NEOGEO. Since then, we have actively animated the community (through seminars, a dedicated web page, and other initiatives) to co-build a solution that is increasingly aligned with your needs.
Since 2023
Business Development and Innovation
2023 – Continued customized development and maintenance activities internationally and nationally, notably with the national portals of ARCEP and Geofoncier.
2024 – Addition of innovative modules like OneGeo Chat and connection of OneGeo Suite to business solutions to fully meet your needs.
2025 – Creation of the OneLand land management solution based on over 10 years of experience.
2026 – SaaS offering for OneGeo Suite.
