Project Genesis
Launched in 2010 by the Order of Chartered Surveyors (OGE), the Géofoncier project was born from the need to centralize and enhance all cadastral data resulting from the work of Chartered Surveyors and make it accessible within a secure framework. Until then, cadastral, topographic, and land information was scattered across different departments, with heterogeneous formats and precision levels. Géofoncier was thus designed as a single point of contact to capitalize on the interventions of Chartered Surveyors and offer better traceability of land operations.
Very quickly, the portal established itself as a strategic tool, not only for land professionals but also for local authorities, state services, infrastructure operators, and, more broadly, all stakeholders in land use planning. By relying on geographic information standards, Géofoncier has succeeded in federating an ecosystem around reliable, standardized, and high-value data.

The Expert Portal
Among the project’s variations, the Géofoncier Expert portal holds a special place. Initially intended for Chartered Surveyors, but now also for many other professionals, it goes beyond simple consultation of cadastral or cartographic data. It offers a true professional environment integrating advanced search and analysis tools.
Thanks to the Expert portal, users can:
- access an exhaustive and georeferenced view of work already carried out within a given perimeter;
- visualize easements, urban planning, and development documents in force;
- utilize external data layers (orthophotos, regulatory zoning, national databases) in a homogeneous interface;
- for Chartered Surveyors in particular, share and track their interventions in a logic of transparency and information continuity.
Support from NEOGEO
Since the portal’s launch in 2010, NEOGEO has supported SAS Géofoncier and the Order of Chartered Surveyors in the development, evolution, and maintenance of the platform and its associated applications.
Over the years, our teams have developed and deployed several innovative tools that today form the functional core of Géofoncier:
- TABELIO: initially designed for notaries, it allows generating comprehensive reports on one or more parcels (cadastre, urban planning, risks, sales, networks, etc.) in a few clicks;
- e-DA: this application digitizes and secures the deposit of survey documents with the cadastral administration, thereby reducing processing times and improving the traceability of procedures;
- EHF: currently being rolled out, it offers the possibility of directly submitting dematerialized requests for mortgage statements via the Géofoncier portal, simplifying exchanges with land registry services and accelerating access to information on real rights;
- Géothèque: currently under development, this application aims to establish a centralized register of land deeds, ensuring the quality of deposited documents and their accompanying metadata.
These solutions reflect Géofoncier’s mission: to offer an integrated platform, combining professional expertise, digital tools, and reliable data to support stakeholders in all dimensions of land management. Today, more than ten NEOGEO employees work daily alongside the Géofoncier teams. This support, which combines continuous innovation and technical robustness, is essential to make Géofoncier a national reference tool. It also contributes to bringing the technical community of the land sector closer together, by promoting the integration of GIS solutions into traditional measurement and land use planning professions.
In just over a decade, Géofoncier has established itself as a key player in cadastral data in France. Combining professional expertise and geospatial technologies, the project demonstrates the added value of a collaborative portal built around the concrete needs of professionals. With its Expert portal and the support of partners like NEOGEO, Géofoncier continues to evolve to meet the challenges of transparency, efficiency, and modernization in land management.
