SCOPE
Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur regional territory, France
TIMELINE
Since 2017
Since 2017, NEOGEO has been supporting the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region in implementing and evolving the DataSud platform, the shared reference infrastructure for open and geographic data at the regional level.
The platform underwent a major overhaul with the rollout of a new version in 2024, based on the open-source OneGeo Suite solution.
Today, DataSud is a centralized and secure gateway for searching, consulting, viewing, downloading and reusing data produced by public and private stakeholders across the territory.
The platform lies at the heart of the Regional Territory Knowledge Platform initiative, which since 2022 has brought together central government services, the Region, INSEE and IGN. It thus helps develop a regional infrastructure that promotes knowledge, sharing and value creation from territorial data.

- Enhance geographic data through visualization and mapping tools, with the option to extract data.
- Give meaning to data by offering information storytelling through thematic areas, user journeys, services and applications.
- Promote interoperability and openness through interconnection with local, regional and national infrastructures, as well as by providing APIs and specialized services.
- Ensure data sovereignty and control, with hosting in France.
