TIMELINE
03/2023-06/2024
In 2016, the Malagasy government, with support from the World Bank, launched the Agricultural Growth and Land Tenure Security Project (CASEF). In 2023, the IGN FI / Geosystems consortium was awarded a new phase aimed at issuing 346,000 additional certificates, further strengthening land tenure security and the autonomy of Malagasy farmers.
municipalities involved in the mass certification operation
land certificates prepared and issued in 15 months
people mobilized on the project, from the field to the office
Challenges
NEOGEO addressed the challenge of digitizing the production chain by providing the OneLand® FIELD solution (formerly GEOSIF), a mobile tool for digital field data collection, together with a tool for managing, processing, and editing all data and documents in the land registration file. This helped accelerate the chain, enabling mass production capacity, reduced processing times, and improved quality of the land certificates produced.
Missions
Co-design with IGN FI of the solution and adaptation to the project’s needs
Configuration, development, and deployment of the solution
Integration of reference data
Knowledge transfer to operational teams
Operational maintenance and support for field agents
Solutions
Based on the FIELD module of the OneLand® solution, a field data acquisition module for land data, built on open-source components, enabling:
Preparation and monitoring of field operations,
Data collection,
Quality control of the data produced
Mass generation and distribution of land certificates
