TIMELINE
Since 2024
NEOGEO has supported GEOPRED in the maintenance and hosting of its application for monitoring damage caused to domestic herds in France.
The presence of the three large predators—bears, lynxes, and wolves—in mainland France causes damage to domestic herds. The Ministry of Ecological Transition compensates farmers who suffer these attacks.

Challenges
The GEOPRED application allows for the processing of cases related to the three large predators. The current operation of the tool, along with regulatory changes, requires continuous corrective and evolutionary maintenance as new technical or regulatory needs arise.
Missions
Support and assistance to the team in charge of application administration
Maintaining applications in operational condition (corrective and preventive maintenance)
Development of regulatory updates and functional improvements: definition of needs, design of mock-ups, drafting of specifications and acceptance testing plans, testing, and deployment
Solutions
A mobile application allows for the field entry of damage reports on domestic herds (forms consisting of technical and administrative information, photos, and diagrams) and their transmission to instructors
A web application allows instructors to review and validate information entered on the mobile application, handle administrative processing of compensation claims, and perform queries to generate statistics and mapping on predation
Both applications were developed specifically for these needs using open-source components
